The Active Citizenship project is a collaboration between Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shire councils and the Southern Gippsland Learning Communities Committee. Its aim is to increase opportunity for voluntary participation in a range of local community learning - based activities. There is a recognised wealth of untapped expertise and experience in our communities. This has potential for mutual benefit not only to each of us but also for the economic and social well being of our communities. Through partnerships with local government, community groups and adult community education providers, the Active Citizenship project will enable a range of targeted and supported activities, programs and initiatives to be implemented at the local community level.

Active Citizenship refers to becoming involved in your local community through voluntary activities. This can include participation in sporting, cultural, service and education & training activities.

Your input is valuable. Any information you disclose within this survey will be electronically transferred to Education Centre Gippsland.
